Ich arbeite schon seit Anfang November an diesen Gyrocoptern und Eisendrachen. Endlich sind sie fertig. Sie wurden mit den Scale 75 Metallfarben bemalt.  Weiters hab ich mich bei den 2 Gyrobombern und dem Gyrocopter mit dem chipping medium von Vallejo versucht. Ich wollte ein wenig Kampfschaden simulieren.

Weiter unten gibt es noch ein  WIP  Bild vom Portal Paint off. Heute, Sonntag war wieder Abgabetermin für die technische Challenge. Metallics. Hier hab ich die Rüstung und die Axt mit den Scale 75 Metallfarben bemalt.

Über Kommentare und Meinungen würd ich mich sehr freuen.

Hi there! I've been working since early november on this Gyrocopters and Irondrakes. Finally they are finished. They were painted with the Scale 75 metallic colors. Furthermore i am trying the chipping medium of Vallejo. I wanted to simulate a little battle damage.

There is still a WIP picture below from the portal Paint off. Today, Sunday was again deadline for the technical challenge. Metallics. Here I have painted the armor and the ax with the Scale 75 metallic colors.

Taking Part in the "Portal Paint off'"

Ich wurde von Adam Parkhouse (Portal Magazine)  gefragt ob ich beim "Portal Paint off" mitmachen möchte. Ein Wettbewerb der anderen Art, indem wöchentlich Aufgaben zu erledigen sind. Eine Runde geht 3 Wochen lang. 1. Woche "Basing" 2. Woche "Technical" "Metallics"  3. Woche "fertige Mini". Dann ist die "Jury" gefragt, denn einer fliegt am Ende der Runde raus. Hier hab ich schonmal meine fast fertige Base gebaut, inklusive einer Stellprobe mit einer Figur von "Figone". Wie man erkennen kann hab ich bei der der Base auf die Linienführung beim Bau geachtet. Die Äste des Baumes, der Zaun, und die Wurzeln zeigen in eine Richtung zur Figur. Mal sehen wie weit ich komme, ich halte euch auf den Laufenden. Lieben Gruß Jürgen

I was asked by Adam Parkhouse (Portal Magazine) if I want to take part in "Portal Paint off". A competition of a different kind, as tasks must be performed weekly. A round runs for 3 weeks. First  week "Basing", second week "Technical" "metallics" third week "finished Mini". Then the "jury" is required because one of the participants flies out at the end of each round. Here I have my almost-finished base built, including a reference sample with a figure of "Figone". ......

WIP - Warhammer 40.000 - Thousand Sons - Rhinos

Hello my friends

Today i want to show you a project where a lot of lets call "Special effects" are in the making.
This Warhammer 40.000 Army of the Thousand Sons has a very, imho, outstanding theme. My dear customer sended me the army and we talked a while and then decided to do it very very used and battle demaged. In general CHAOS is demaged and used as they do not reall< care about their stuff ;) The army has just a handfull of vehicles, 2 Rhinos, 1 Predator and 1 Forgefiend. The Army Leader is Ahriman himself who looks over 4 tactical squads of thousand sons, 40 Chaos Space Marines all in all. We also made the decision that every Rune, lights, weapons will get these glowing effects. So on this nearly but not jet finished Rhinos you see a loads of weathering. We have scratches, Rust, dirt, dust, grime and many many more effects all done with the awesome sortiment of AMMO of MIG JIMENEZ
The cool thing on weathering a sience fiction or fantasy vehicle is, that you can play as much as you want with weathering...who will say in the year 40.000 it is unrealistic ? *hehe* The Light and glow effects come from PK-PRO

Hallo Freunde

Heute möchte ich euch ein Projekt vorstellen das etwas anders ist und mit jeder Menge sagen wir "Spezialeffeckten" daher kommt.
Diese Warhammer 40.000 ARmee der Thousand Sons hat, meiner Meinung nach, ein wirklich besonderes Thema. Mein Kunde übergab mir diese Armee und wir nahmen uns ausreichend Zeit darüber zu entscheiden wohin der Weg uns führen soll. Wir entschieden uns dafür eine wirklich gebrauchte, von Kampfspuren und Alter gezeichnete Armee zu kreieren, die den Eindruck des absoluten Verfalls und Alters darstellt, da doch die Thousand Sons nur durch einen Willen geleitet sind und jeder im inneren seiner Rüstung aus Sand ohne jegliches Leben existiert, nur gelenkt durch den Geist starker Charaktere.

Die Armee besteht zur Zeit nur aus einer hand voll Fahrzeuge, zwei Rhinos, ein Predator und ein Schmiedemonster. Angeführt wird die ARmee durch Ahriman persönlich und unter seinem Kommando haben wir 4 komplette Trupps Chaos Space Marines also 40 Infantristen in allem.

In diesen beiden fast fertigen Rhinos wurden jede Menge Weatherings eingearbeitet. Wir haben Staub, Schmutz, Rost, Kratzer und vieles mehr an diesen Modellen. Alle diese Effeckte wurden mit den großartigen Produkten von AMMO of MIG JIMENEZ , die Glow Effeckte kommen von PK-PRO .
DAs schöne bei Sience Fiction ist, das man es auch gerne ein bischen übertreiben kann, denn wer will schon sagen das im Jahr 40.000 unrealistisch ist ;)

Okay genu geredet, lasst uns die Schweinerei die ich veranstaltet habe mal anschauen :)

Forge World Character Series LOKEN vs. ABADDON

Hello Dear Followers

Today we show you something really special.
Our new painter in the Team JÜRGEN painted this awesome dio from Forge Worlds Horus Heresy Character Series. Loken versus Abaddon.
If you have read the books you know exactly the scene and know that in the end Loken dies.

Jürgen played very wonderful with the colors and made a really great job with this piece. Also the base is very nicely weathered with several pigments. Loken has still the colors of the Sons of Horus and Abaddon wears his unique Terminator Armor Plate.

Heute gibt es etwas Spezielles

Unser neue Maler im Team JÜRGEN hat dieses atemberaubende Diorama von Forge Worlds Horus Heresy Character Serie bemalt.
Loken vs. Abaddon.
Wer die Bücher gelesen hat weis ja wie die szene endet und wo sie statt findet.

Jürgen hat sein Gespür für die Farben sehr gut umgesezt; Eine sehr schön kontrastreiche Gegenüberstellung und weiche Farben die durch harte Akzente etwas wirklech aussagekräftiges zeigen,und auch das Base ist mit seinem weathering sehr schön gelungen. Loken trägt die Farben der Sons of Horus und Abaddon seine spezielle Terminator Rüstung.

New Painter on board

Es freut mich sehr euch mitteilen zu können das zukünftig eine zweite Kraft bei Jays Wargame Painting die Pinsel schwingt.
Einigen von Euch bekannt; Jürgen Frank aka SelektorKjulu der zusammen mit Daniel Gütl aka Nathelis gemeinsam den Blog Miniature Fairy Tales betreibt.

Jürgen wird sich zukünftig um die kleineren feineren Projekte bei Jays Wargame Painting kümmern, speziell Einzelfiguren und kleine Warbands im Skirmish Bereich und damit eine echte Breicherung für unser Team sein.

An dieser Stelle gleich eine der aktuellen Aufträge an denen er arbeitet für Malagant.

WIP -Deamons of Chaos 40K

High Elve Bowmen and Eagles / Hochelfen Bogenschützen und Adler

Good morning, good day, good evening *lol*

So here is the next part of the High Elve Madness ( loads more to come in a couple of days/weeks )

Today i want to show you the 3 bowmen units( i call them Bowmen as these are not the normal Archer Models in plastic )
Each modell is taken from 7th and 6th Edition Shadow Warrior Boxes. Each Unit got a unique Champions model to stay a bit individual.
We have only a handfull of different poses that makes a clear look as one unit, acting as one.
The Capes were painted completely with the airbrush in about 6 layers and so they look a bit lighter than the rest to get some "we are magial High elve effect". Basing as the Rest in Winter theme. The Capes got a lil bit snow near the ground too to get the effect of digging from behind unseen thru the Winter Scenery so a bit Stealthy ;)

High Elve Dragon Princes with Charakters / Hochelfen Drachenprinzen mit Charakteren

And here we come to the Plunderbus, the massive Killteam with loads of attacks, high speed and wohoo the noble Princes of all time.
The High Elve Dragon Princes got a special colorsheme. Still matching to the Rest of the Army but with a touch of Red. The storyline says that the Dragon Princes had Red Mails but that wouldnt have matched to the Rest of the Army and so i decided to do just a bit of Red washing on some parts ;)
You see here on those pics some WIP and then the finished Unit including all mounted Characters so far.
The Unit was build with Placeholders again as the 2 mounted Hereos were builded out of the same Box. So we have a normal Command and 10 normal Knights. 2 of the Knights are assembled on the Placeholders.
The Banner will get a freehand later on ...

I hope you like them as they are really special colored and far a way from all the knowen colorshemes out there. I love them ;)

High Elve Pheonix Guard / Hochelfen Phönixgarde

Hello dear friends and followers.
As i mentioned before i will show up during the days, what the holiday season was done in the painting studio.

So on we go with the Pheonix Guard. The customers wish was a 30 miniature company builded out of 20 miniatures :D That sounds funny in the first but is a normal thing already in the tournament scene i guess. So the point is, to create placeholders instead of miniatures in the back lines of the unit to get them out as first losts in battle. So to keep straight with the idea of this High Elve Army, fighting in the cold ruins of a Nagarothi ruined City i hav added again those ruin arts from the Lord of the Rings Scenery Sprue. The miniatures were assembled arround that placeholders and gives a lot of deep and life to this unit.
The Winter has come more snowy and so we have a good general white theme to push the other colors in the army.
