Workbench CW 1 / Werkbank KW 1

Hello Friends

So the new year is just a few days old but the time doesnt stand still.

So this weeks overview Workbench calendar week 1 is a bit longer as i take the last 2 days of 2013 also in it and will make a overview over the next few months whats coming up :)
In the last days of the old year i saw that many projects got some time issues as the christmas days and all arround those days with shopping and preparing kept me away from the painting table. I wanted to finish so many things till End of year and as always the time moved to fast :D Damn why is there no extra days haha.
So i finished the Tomb Kings Project in high level with the Sphinx as real big highlight for me as it is an awesome model as you can see here

To make my son happy i helped him a bit with primering his Mines of Moria stuff so he could paint over the holydays his miniatures. I also worked the last days on the big TAU Project to push it further and did alot of assembling work for 2 small Eldar Projects. So more bout that later on :)

New Blood Painter / Nachwuchsmaler

First of all i wish you all a great, powerfull and healthy 2013 \o/

So here i start now a small series of threads about a New Blood in the scene ;)
My Son, since 24.12.2012 9 years old, started to paint 1 year ago. The first steps in his painting career have been some zombies last year to learn some general technics like Base Color, drybrushing and washing.

Project - Tomb Kings finished / Projekt Gruftkönige abgeschlossen

So finally the Tomb King Projekt is finished \o/
It was a long way with some ups and downs.

Several "problems" caused that it took more time than planned.
First of all the miniatures were completely assembled what meant that i could not have reached some parts that i had to to make it a better look. Next was the Primer. The minis were primered with Army Painter Bone Spray but the Sphinx. As very often that Primer has not worked correctly and so all minis had a thick Primer Layer that flatted most of the details, god beware it wasnt my fault.

Just a short Update for the Tomb King Sphinx :)

Here we have finally the War Sphinx Version of that awesome model. So just the warriors need to be done what will happen tomorrow :D

So now the customer has the choice, which version he wants to play.

I hope you had a very happy Christmas :)

So finally the Necro Sphinx is done \o/
As said before all parts but the main body are magnetised to switch it to the War Sphinx in just a few seconds. The War Sphinx is on the Workbench already and will be finished today. Then just a few miniatures to add which i will finish tomorrow then.

So here you see the final Version of the Necro Sphinx and i hope you enjoy the pics.

Werkbank KW 51 / Workbench CW 51

Hallo Freunde

Weiter gehts mit den wöchentlichen Berichten der Werkbank :)

Die vergangene Woche war natürlich sehr hektisch wegen der üblichen Weihnachtsvorbereitungen. Mein Sohn hatte eine Schulaufführung und es galt natürlich noch Etliches zu besorgen vor den Feiertagen.

Nichts desto trotz ging doch einiges weiter.
TAU, Gruftkönige, Sicarius, Eldar, Napoleonisch und die lang erwartetet Lieferung eines Kunden kam letztendlich auch am Freitag an.

Projekt - Gruftkönige Teil 3 / Project Tomb Kings part 3

Hallo Freunde

Hier mal ein paar Work in Progress Bilder der Kriegssphinx der Gruftkönige.
Das Modell ist Magnetisiert um auch eine Necrosphinx darstellen zu können.
Wir haben also hier 2 Modelle in einem was zwar schlecht für den Umsatz von GW ist, dafür aber gut fürs Geldbörsal ;)

Das Modell dürfte diese Woche noch komplett fertig werden.
Und nun zu den Bildern ;)

Hallo Freunde

Hier mal die ersten Bilder meines 1.Regiments Foot Guards des 2. Batallions in der Schlacht bei Waterloo.
Sind erstmal nur 3 Stands von geplanten 10 (8x Center, 1x Leichte, 1x Grenadiere)
1.019 Männer (43 Offiziere / 976 Truppen)nach General des Brigades also knappe 50 Modelle.

Werkbank Kalenderwoche 50 / Workbench calendar week 50

Hallo Freunde

Und wieder eine neue Sektion auf Jay's Wargames Painting :)
Ab sofort gibt es eine wöchentliche Werkbank Review mit Bericht und Bildern.

Dies ermöglicht Euch und auch meinen lieben Kunden immer den Überblick zu haben woran gerade gearbeitet wird, wie es voran geht und was so alles sonst noch passiert ist.

Gestartet wird mit der vergangenen Woche, der Kalenderwoche 50 und jeder Menge weisser Farbe :D
