Project Empire Nordland #5 - The Special Characters

Hello :)

And here we go with Part 5. In this Episode i Show you the 4 Special Characters for the Nordland army. We have Leitpold the Black from Forge World, Marius Leitorf, Valten MK 3 painted as Warrior Priest and finally the Army Standard Bearer Ludwig Schwarzhelm.

All the Characters were painted in the Nordland Color Sheme instead of their normal Colors but Valten.

All in all in this Miniatures i invested many time to make them outstanding from the Normal Troops. My Favorite is Ludwig Schwarzhelm with this massive Banner.

So lets have a look...

Und weiter geht's mit Teil 5 der Serie. Heute zeige ich euch die Spezial Charaktere für die Nordland Armee. Wir haben Leitpold den Schwarzen von Forge World, Marius Leitorf, Valten MK3 als Kriegspriester und den Armeestandartenträger Ludwig Schwarzhelm.

Alle Charaktere wurden statt ihrer normalen Farben in den Farben Nordlands bemalt, außer Valten der andere Farben bekam.

Ich habe etwas mehr Zeit in diese Modelle investiert um sie deutlich vom Rest der Armee abzuheben. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist Ludwig Schwarzhelm mit seiner riesigen Standarte-

Project Nordland # 4 - The Orkanium / Luminarium

Howdy Folks

Off we go with the next part of the Series about the Nordland Army Project. This time we take a look at the Orkanium & Luminarium. Both Versions are makable with only one Modell which is the cheaper Version than to buy 2 Boxes ;)

As i started this Modell i thought to take magnets to assemble both tops,but during the Assembling i found out that it is much easier just by stick them to the top instead of complex magnetisations. For my dear customer it was very necessary that he can remove the Top for easier Transport.

The painting is Close to the General Color sheme of Nordland with its blue and yellow Colors. To make sure to see its a "Magic wagon" i used the 8 Colors from the "winds of Magic" here and there. The inside got a bit detailing by painting all books in several Magic Colors and some "letters" as freehands on them.

The Chains between the horses and the wagon were cut off and i took some medelling chains to fit it together as the wagon and the horses are in a curve angle.

The first TOP is the Orkanium with all the Colors of the Winds of Magic on it on the Planets. The second TOP is the Luminarium where i just used simple Colors and took an Special eye on the lenses. I painted them very highly White Metal and then made a wash out of the Basic Color with a drop of turquise and led it flow softly in the lower right "corner" and so the effect of "glas" was established.

The Mage and his helper are painted seperatly and i forgot to make some pics of them :S

Und weiter geht's mit dem nächsten Teil der Nordland Serie. Diesmal schauen wir uns das Orkanium / Luminarium an. Beide Versionen sind aus einem Bausatz bau bar, ohne das man einen zweiten Bausatz benötigt, was Geld und Zeit spart.

Project Empire Nordland #3 - The Mages

It's time to go on with the Series about the Empire Nordland Army.
In this "Episode" i talk about and Show you the Mages for that Army. We have all in all 4 Mages on foot, 1 Mage on Horse and one on the Orkanium. In this post you will see 3 of the Mages on Foot, as the 4th is still WIP as the one on Horse and for the Orkanium.
My Customer wanted to have Mages using the Force of Light, but during the painting Progress we changed a few Things on the Paintings to make them more outstanding from the Army and of course more eyecatching.
So on the desk we had 3 Games Workshop Mages in that stage. Alle got a very lightning Color sheme with bright Colors and detailed staffs and books etc. One mage was painted with a metallic cape with stars on it to look like the nightsky. The others have been painted with a very bright Blue White capes, but changed later on during the Progress.
I tried some new things on thoses both as i used things for Nail Art as they are very usefull to make some extra Details as seen on the Banner for the Inner Circle Panther Knights ;)

Project Empire Nordland #2 - The Knight Panther Inner Circle

Howdy :)

Welcome to the second Part of my Mini Series about the Nordland Empire Army. This time i take with you a look on the Inner Circle Panther Knights. A Squad of 15 Knights with the typical Panther Cloak and the fine Heraldry of a lil decadent Order of Knights.

The Basic Colors are the typical blue and yellow. But in that case and the Story behind the Inner Circle of every Order i pushed a step further. Let me explain a bit. In the middle Age the most famous and of course the richest Knights had blueisht Plate Mails. It was an Special Kind of Plate that was harder but more flexible as the blacksmiths used a Special technic to make this which in final colored the Iron blue. Those Plates were massively expensive and only the best and richest Noblemen were able to buy them.
So i decided it would be great to have a Squad of Inner Circle Knights who are the noble in perfection. So all Knights Plates in that Squad are blue metal. To give the contrast needed i added some parts of Gold, especially on the helmets to make them just a bit more outstanding. The Cloak with the typical colorsheme of a Leopard/Panther brings the final Flair to that Unit. The cloaks i had to use were those from Games Workshop instead of scratch build some different ones caused on the customers wish.

The horses got also some extra detailing on their cuirass. So all together makes an outstanding Unit for me.

Willkommen zum 2. Teil meiner Mini Serie über die Nordland Armee des Imperiums. Diesmal betrachten wir den Inneren Zirkel des Panther Ordens. Eine Einheit aus 15 Rittern mit vollem Kommando mit den typischen Pantherumhängen und der feinen Heraldik eines Inneren Zirkels.

Die Basisfarben sind typisch Blau und Gelb. Allerdings wollte ich in diesem Fall die Sache noch etwas weiter treiben um die Dekadenz eines so elitären Ordens und speziell deren Inneren Zirkels hervor heben. Kurze Erklärung: Im Mittelalter hatten einige besonders gute Ritter und reiche Lordschaften eine "gebläute" Rüstung um ihren Stand hervor zu heben.

Projekt Imperium Nordland #1 / Project Empire Northland #1

Hello Folks

It was a Long time i didnt posted something on my blog. Some of you may have wondered " is he still painting ?" Yess he is.
In the last 12 weeks i was so busy with an awesome big Project, that i decided to spare the time for Blogging and use it for painting.

But now im back an let you be part of that Empire Army Project in a small series of Blog Posts during the next couples of days.

So lets start to explain what that Project was and still is about.
The Empire Army i worked at is a Nordlander Army with strong parts of Panther Knights in it. We have several different models in this Project.
15 Panther Knights of the inner circle, 17 normal Panther Knights, 9 Demigriffon Panther Knights, 40 Hellbardiers, 31 Archers, 4 Mages, 2 different Army Standardbearers, 2 Generals, a Hero on Pegasus, Warrior Priest, 2 Great Cannons, 1 Hellfire Cannon, 1 Archlector on Altar, 1 Orkanium with megnetised parts to use it also as Luminarium, 5 Pistoliers, 1 Steam Tank and loads of extra designed Showbases for some of the Units.

For this first part i will Show you several pics from the workbench where i did the first Assemblings and Basic Colors.

Hallo liebe Freunde

Es ist eine ganze Weile her das ich etwas auf diesem Blog gepostet habe. Einige mögen sich gedacht haben : " malt er noch ?" Die Antwort ist JA er malt noch :) Ich habe die letzten 12 Wochen genutzt um dieses großartige Imperium Projekt voran zu treiben und dabei entschieden das Bloggen zu sparen um mehr Zeit für das Projekt zu haben.
In den nächsten Tagen werde ich nun aber endlich Schritt für Schritt über dieses Projekt; Armee des Imperiums aus Nordland berichten.

Lasst uns mal schauen was dieses Projekt alles beinhaltete und noch kommen wird. Wir haben einen Schwerpunkt auf Nordland mit massiven Teilen von Panther Rittern:

Projekt - Imperium - Ostmark / Project - Empire - Ostermark

Howdy Gang :D

So here we start with the second Empire Army Project. This second Army is from Ostermark.
The Colorsheme is based on the well knowen PC Game Mark of Chaos plus some other inspiring Things taken from the Games Workshop Book about the Heraldry of the Empire Troops.
So the main Color is a darker yellow and a very clear purple. White and Tourquise are the extra Colors for some Extra Eyecatching.

This first Part is about a Main Regiment of Statetroops Swordsman plus detachements of 10 Bowmen and 10 Hellbardiers. All in all 51 Miniatures.
The Main Regiment is painted in Level 3 and the detachments in Level 2-3 as the customer wished.
The Miniatures are all from the older range from the late 90's which makes it a bit difficult for a higher paintlevel. They came to me assembled and most of them painted or primered several times...so used Miniatures.

The Basing will be done when the first Half of the army, including several Characters, some Knights & Pistoliers and of course the Steam Tank a loads of Cannons.

Flames of War - Der Beginn / The Beginning

Hello Dear Followers

My Son and me finally took the step into a historical Hobby Part that we both were interested in for more than 10 months.
The smale scale of 15mm was a Thing i didnt really thought it could touch me, but finally as my Partner Shop S-Games opened a Store in my City the Thing was clear....i must do that cause i love all about the History of the WW II. Many Books about Tanks and the complete collection of the "Kriegstagebuch der Wehrmacht" are just a few parts of my Books about that Period. AND I LOOOVE TANKS :)

So the FoW Hobby is a Relaxing private Thing for my Sunday with my Son. It is the step back to a bit private Hobby beside the 6 day Customer Painting Service :)

So S-Games sponsored me a Open Fire Box about im very thankfull. To go a lil bit bigger i bought a second box together with the army List Book and a Tiger E as i will do the Germans, and my son got 2 extra M3A Halftrack Transport for the Parachute Infantrists of his American Forces.

At the Moment im not sure which armylist we will Play finally, maybe we create each 2 different Lists....we will see.

Workbench Juli #1 / Jule #1 2013

Howdy Folks :)

So this is the first Workbench from Jule including the first week of the month.
I had several things this last week on my desk.
First of all i have started the Empire Army Project for the Ostmark Army. Here we have 51 Miniatures to paint in Level 2 and 3 including 31 Statetroops Swordsman, 10 Bowmen and 10 Helberdiers. The Basing will be done in a Row when all is finished.
The Ostmark Colorsheme is based about several sources. First of all from the Mark of Chaos PC Game plus the GW Book about heraldry of the Empire Statetroops.

Also on the Workbench and be finished tomorrow i have 10 Chas Space Mrines from the Thousand sons Chapter. Pics will be on later ;)

And finally my son and me started Flames of War which will be showen in a seperated Blog Entry.

Willkommen zum ersten Workbench Bericht Juli / 1. Woche

Projekt - Dämonen 40K - Kreischer des Tzeentch / Screamers of Tzeentch

Howdy my dear followers :)

As in the workbench June #3 mentioned here we go with the Screamers of Tzeentch. I love those models as they are so awesome casted and so typically demonic.
The colours are the typical tzeentch Colors Combine with some lighter pink and some dark eyes.
he Bases of that army is a ashgrey Dust combined with sculls ( they will be added soon ) I tried to assemble them on the bases with a bit more dynamic like diving down a bit left a bit right.
So those miniatures are the first from the 40k Deamons Army Project
So i hope you like them

Workbench Juni #3 / June #3

Hello Folks

so we are on my workbench June #3. Its all about Deamons for Warhammer 40.000. We have a big Guy from Kromlech that will be the big unclean one in another style plus 2 deamon Princes from Legacy Miniatures. Those are very high detailed miniatures from both companys and come in high Quality resin casts. ( GW look at that, thats the was resin miniatures should look like )
The cleaning was very easy as ther was Close to nothing tocleanand the Assembling was very easy too.
Also we have a squad of Thousandsons on theworkbench not showen on the Pictures. A squad of 9 screamers of tzeench were alo ther but they are already finished and will be showen in another blog post.

Space Wolves - Ehrwürdiger Cybot Umbau / Venerable Dreadnought Conversion

Howdy Friends

Here we go with the next part of the last week work on the Space Wolve Army. The Venerable Dreadnought from Forge World converted with weapon arms and weapons from Puppetswars. We have 2 weapon Options on this model as you can see in the Pictures down below. Those parts look a bit heresy like but i like them alot.
This Cybot all in all i can say is a real Eyecatcher in this army and i had a loads of fun to build and paint it :) The hghlight i think is the banner and the Story about it is, as my cusomer has a few tribal Tattoos i thought it would give an extra smile on him when i do some tribal freehand with that wolve on the banner and so ist personalized especially to my customer :D

Space Wolves Donnerwolf / Thunderwolve

Hello Folks

Here we go with the next update for the Space Wolves Army. The Thunderwolve Champion. Ist also a bit convertet as i used an other backpack caused on the dismatch of the original Citadel FAILCast. I assembled a lil Banner on it to make that Model more clear as Champion of the Unit.
The whole model is Finecast and it was a very very very bad casting. I tried my best to assemble it and make a pretty paintjob. If i would have remodelled the Fails i would have throwen it away haha and bought a new one. And the cost for those emense plus then 10 or mor hours to make it a propper model i must Charge another 40,- euros and so.....
