High Elve Reavers / Hochelfen Grenzreiter

Hi Folks

It's time to Show off the latest work on the High Elve Army.

This comission is a really big one and here we have the idea of a well knowen Color sheme from VOLOMIR's High Elves
So the complete Army is in that Color sheme but of course not in that Golden Deamon High Standard ;)

So These Reavers are finished as the first troops in that Army but the bases.
I will cast own bases for that army and apply them later during the process.

I hope you like them and as always i would like to har and see your comments and Feedback on those

Project - Empire Ostmark

Howdy Folks :)

So here we have the finished Empire Ostmark Army. It was finished weeks ago but i just now find time to post about.

This Army was painted in Level 2,3 and 4, so it's lower painted than the Nordland Empire Army i did....this is just General TT Standard Painting ;)
The Army came to me fully assembled what means...every Thing, really everything was glued together, even the Riders to the horses and the Orkanium also complete. This alone is no Problem but all miniatures havent been cleaned...so moldline, beside moldlin :D
In some moments it was hard to paint as you find another moldline you havent reached or seen before.

Also a lil Problem have been the "wonderfull" casted Finecast Modells. Bubbles everywhere, parts broken apart and never been seen. Good that this Army is a gamingarmy in lower Standard, otherwise it wouldnt have been possible to make a high Level paintjob without organising a sculpter as im not able to sculpt atm...i Need to learn ;)

But finally we did it. All missing parts have been found in my bitzbox and so all in all we have a good looking army for gaming :)

This was the second Empire Army painted last year and finally there are just a few add ons to do for both of them.

Taking a momentary break from playtesting Beyond the Gates of Antares, his forthcoming science-fiction game, Rick Priestley came up with a great idea: the Hansa Nairoba Painting Challenge. Rick explains:

Below you can see our Hansa model – Hansa Nairoba painted by Golem Painting Studio. I plan to tell you a bit more about our Hansa Nairoba character soon, and it would be great if we could feature more models painted by you – doesn’t matter what style – it’d be really interesting to see how many different interpretations we can come up with. I have my own Hansa – my paint jobs can’t really compete with ace painters like our own André Amián or Golem Painting Studio  – and it would interesting to see just how many interpretations we can come up with.
So – if you have a photo of your painted Hansa that you would be willing to share please post pics of your creation on our forums here. I’ll sort through and pick out a varied selection to show – and we’ll get the Warlord guys to pick out a favourite too. If we pick your model as our favourite we’ll include it in our beta rulebook as well.

Hallo Liebe Leser


Ja wir haben schon Ende Januar und erst jetzt schreibe ich meinen ersten Blogeintrag 2014.
Die letzten Wochen seid Weihnachten waren geprägt durch ein schlimmes Tief und Krankheit.

Nun ist es aber wieder soweit. Ich habe mich gefasst und erhole mich langsam und das Tief geht jeden Tag ein kleines bisschen mehr davon :)

Rückblick:

2013 war im Grunde ein erfolgreiches Jahr für Jay's Wargame Painting.
Es gab mehr Anfragen als ich bewältigen konnte, es waren mehr Figuren als ich dachte und jede Menge zu tun.
Das Jahr startete mit der großen Tau Armee. Eine wirklich schöne Armee mit vielen Optionen, tollen Ideen und einem doch sehr anspruchsvollen Farbschema. Es war ein wirklich schöner aber auch schwieriger Auftrag, denn weiß ist nicht gleich weiß sondern 6 verschiedene Weiß die das Gesamtbild dann ergaben.


Danach begann der nächste Auftrag, bzw. mehrere gleichzeitig :)

Project Empire Nordland #5 - The Special Characters

Hello :)

And here we go with Part 5. In this Episode i Show you the 4 Special Characters for the Nordland army. We have Leitpold the Black from Forge World, Marius Leitorf, Valten MK 3 painted as Warrior Priest and finally the Army Standard Bearer Ludwig Schwarzhelm.

All the Characters were painted in the Nordland Color Sheme instead of their normal Colors but Valten.

All in all in this Miniatures i invested many time to make them outstanding from the Normal Troops. My Favorite is Ludwig Schwarzhelm with this massive Banner.

Und weiter geht's mit Teil 5 der Serie. Heute zeige ich euch die Spezial Charaktere für die Nordland Armee. Wir haben Leitpold den Schwarzen von Forge World, Marius Leitorf, Valten MK3 als Kriegspriester und den Armeestandartenträger Ludwig Schwarzhelm.

Alle Charaktere wurden statt ihrer normalen Farben in den Farben Nordlands bemalt, außer Valten der andere Farben bekam.

Ich habe etwas mehr Zeit in diese Modelle investiert um sie deutlich vom Rest der Armee abzuheben. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist Ludwig Schwarzhelm mit seiner riesigen Standarte-

Project Nordland # 4 - The Orkanium / Luminarium

Howdy Folks

Off we go with the next part of the Series about the Nordland Army Project. This time we take a look at the Orkanium & Luminarium. Both Versions are makable with only one Modell which is the cheaper Version than to buy 2 Boxes ;)

As i started this Modell i thought to take magnets to assemble both tops,but during the Assembling i found out that it is much easier just by stick them to the top instead of complex magnetisations. For my dear customer it was very necessary that he can remove the Top for easier Transport.

The painting is Close to the General Color sheme of Nordland with its blue and yellow Colors. To make sure to see its a "Magic wagon" i used the 8 Colors from the "winds of Magic" here and there. The inside got a bit detailing by painting all books in several Magic Colors and some "letters" as freehands on them.

The Chains between the horses and the wagon were cut off and i took some medelling chains to fit it together as the wagon and the horses are in a curve angle.

The first TOP is the Orkanium with all the Colors of the Winds of Magic on it on the Planets. The second TOP is the Luminarium where i just used simple Colors and took an Special eye on the lenses. I painted them very highly White Metal and then made a wash out of the Basic Color with a drop of turquise and led it flow softly in the lower right "corner" and so the effect of "glas" was established.

The Mage and his helper are painted seperatly and i forgot to make some pics of them :S

Und weiter geht's mit dem nächsten Teil der Nordland Serie. Diesmal schauen wir uns das Orkanium / Luminarium an. Beide Versionen sind aus einem Bausatz bau bar, ohne das man einen zweiten Bausatz benötigt, was Geld und Zeit spart.
